Yoodo Red Giants' journey on the MPL MY Season 11 stage ended at the end of last April. As a new competitor making his debut on the biggest stage, many valuable experiences were gained.

The Yoodo Red Giants team was officially established on 19 January 2023, which was announced by the Chairman of Selangor FC, DYTM Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj at the Selangor FC Training Center, Shah Alam, as well as signing an agreement with an official collaboration partner with Yoodo as our 'Official Digital Telco' and also Protech as 'Official Kit Partner'.

This announcement was also historical because the Selangor FC team became the first local football team to enter the world of E-sports for the 'Mobile Legends' game. 

Reflecting on the Red Giants team's achievements in the 11th MY MPL stage, this team managed to rank 4th for the competition in the 'regular season'. Despite getting a lot of negative criticism for their inconsistent performances, the mentality and spirit of the players eventually manage to push the team to qualify for the Playoffs and finally landed themselves in the 'Upper Bracket Quarter-Finals'. Yoodo Red Giants concluded their debut campaign in 5th/6th place during the Playoffs stage after succumbing to a 2-1 loss to the Lunatix team.

As for the team's full statistics, Yoodo Red Giants are ranked 6th based on the number of 'Kills' among the 10 competing teams. The player in the 'Gold Lane' position, namely Syf, is one of the biggest 'Kill' contributors in the team with 111 total 'Kills'. While the player on loan who played in the 'Roamer' position, namely Xorn, ranks first for the highest number of Kills/Deaths/Assists (KDA) among the 71 players who competed.

In addition, the Yoodo Red Giants team is also listed for 3 award categories from MPL MY for this season. Among them is the team coach Ozoraveki who was listed among the 3 best coaches, the young player Gojes as 'Best Rookie' and the supporters who are called the Red Giants as 'Fan Club of The Season'.

Gojes' was crowned as the 'Best Rookie of the Season' on his debut in the MPL MY as a player in the 'Exp Laner' position. Having a large 'hero pool' prove to be advantageous to him in the end besides also having a fairly solid game pattern in the Exp Lane position made him one of the best new players for this 11th season.

In conclusion, the team's performance was relatively positive considering that it was their debut on the biggest stage. Their experience gained from this season will help them grow as players and hopefully the supporters will continue to give their unwavering support because the team plan to compete again next season!
